About the app

Instead of a neutral pundit, tune into someone losing their mind at the same moments you are. Browse any fixture and hear who is talking about it right now, in your language, supporting your club.

Commentating takes a tap. The app is audio only, so there is no camera, no lighting, no bandwidth panic and no video rights to worry about. You can commentate from the stand, the sofa or the bus.

It covers the whole match rather than the ninety minutes: warm-up predictions, live action, full-time reaction while it still stings, and the tactical breakdown hours later. Every broadcast is archived and published as a podcast feed you can follow in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast or Pocket Casts. Football, basketball, American football, baseball, hockey, rugby, Formula 1, handball, MMA, volleyball and AFL are all covered.

The story

Official commentary is built to offend nobody, which means it never sounds like the match feels to someone who cares who wins. The obstacle to fan commentary was never the audience, it was the production: video rights, cameras, lighting, a studio. Dropping video removes all of it at once and leaves the only thing a fan actually needs, which is a microphone and a fixture to shout about.

About the developer

Sylvain Corvaisier has been writing native Apple software since the first public iPhone SDK in 2008. He works from Rennes, France, under SAS Corvaisier, and has published 21 apps across 7 platforms, from iPhone and iPad through to Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Android, Fire TV and Roku. Everything is built natively, one platform at a time, with no cross-platform wrapper in between. He also runs Vendredi App, a monthly workshop in Rennes where a working app ships in an afternoon.
