AI Tutor: Visual Homework Help

AI Tutor, published in France as Mon Prof Augmenté, opens on the day’s lesson: one illustrated lesson chosen for the child’s school year, already on screen. A new one arrives at least every weekday, and a short quiz follows each lesson. I built it for my son.

Each lesson fits on one image with no words printed on it. Numbered markers point to a caption in the child’s language: the steps, some examples, then what to remember. Because the words sit outside the picture, one illustration serves ten languages, and a caption can be corrected without redrawing anything. Images are produced ahead of time in several variants and checked before publication. History, civics and geography lessons are only shown to families in the country they belong to.

The app is free to download on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. The lessons published in the last seven days for the child’s school year are free, with their quizzes. A subscription opens the whole library and every school year, not only the child’s, and allows one lesson request a day: the request joins an overnight queue and the illustration usually arrives the next morning, with a notification. One subscription covers the whole family. A press code for testing the subscription is available on request.

I have been a web developer since 1996 and a mobile developer since 2008, and I first built the app for my son, born in 2017, which is why the library is especially deep around age eight. The first version drew a new picture every time someone asked a question, and each one cost real money whether or not that person ever subscribed. In summer 2026 I came close to shutting it down. I rebuilt it instead, around a library prepared in advance and checked before publication, with a quiz for every lesson. On Sundays I use it to go over the week’s school work with my son.

The developer has been writing native Apple software since the first public iPhone SDK in 2008. He works from Rennes, France, under SAS Corvaisier, and has published 24 apps across 7 platforms, from iPhone and iPad through to Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Android, Fire TV and Roku. Everything is built natively, one platform at a time, with no cross-platform wrapper in between.
