About the app
Every review in Guest Note Club is tied to a verified stay. The app checks the property’s wifi network to confirm the guest is on site, and without a match there is no certification badge. That single check removes reviews written from a competitor’s office or a reviewer’s sofa.
Reviews are never public. They go to the host and to your own followers, and nowhere else. With no public audience there is no leverage for a guest threatening a bad score, and no reason to exaggerate. What you browse instead is a map of places reviewed by people you actually know.
Feedback can be sent during the stay rather than after checkout, so a broken sink gets reported while it can still be fixed. Hosts who resolve an issue quickly get visible credit in the review.
Key features
- Wifi verification proves the guest was on site before a review counts
- Reviews stay private to the host and your followers, never public
- A friend map for planning trips from people you know
- Real-time feedback during the stay, with credit to hosts who fix things fast
- Camera-first with emoji ratings and voice input in ten languages
The story
Public review scores created an economy nobody wanted: fake positives, competitor sabotage, and guests using the threat of a one-star as a bargaining chip at check-in. Guest Note Club removes the public score entirely, which removes the leverage along with it, and replaces the anonymous stranger with someone you follow. The wifi check is the cheapest honest proof of presence available, and it needs no extra hardware from the host.
About the developer
Sylvain Corvaisier has been writing native Apple software since the first public iPhone SDK in 2008. He works from Rennes, France, under SAS Corvaisier, and has published 21 apps across 7 platforms, from iPhone and iPad through to Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Android, Fire TV and Roku. Everything is built natively, one platform at a time, with no cross-platform wrapper in between. He also runs Vendredi App, a monthly workshop in Rennes where a working app ships in an afternoon.
